Frequently asked questions

Does English-taught Veterinary Medicine use the IMAT?
Yes. DM n. 1005 of 6 August 2026 governs a single test sitting for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine taught in English, with separate rankings per course — so Veterinary Medicine candidates sit the same IMAT as Medicine candidates.
Is this the same as the Italian Medicina Veterinaria semestre filtro?
No. The Italian-language Medicina Veterinaria uses the semestre filtro (no entrance exam). The English-taught track kept the entrance-test model: the IMAT, with its own ranking.
How is it scored?
60 questions in 100 minutes: reading comprehension (4), logical reasoning (5), biology (23), chemistry (15), physics and mathematics (13, one combined area). +1.5 for a correct answer, −0.4 for a wrong one, 0 for a blank. Pass threshold: 20 out of 90.
Is the app free?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever. Premium is €19/month, €39 every 3 months or €59 every 6 months, renewing automatically (App Store pricing on iPhone/iPad may differ); cancel anytime.
