Original questions that mirror the IMAT 2025
Every question in this simulation is original, written by UniTest Pro and verified before publication. None is copied. Each one mirrors the question in the same position of the IMAT 2025 set by the Italian Ministry of University and Research: question 12 here tests what question 12 tested there, with the same type of reasoning and the same level of difficulty. The sections, their order, the number of questions, the 100 minutes and the scoring are the same as the real exam.
| Section | Questions | Number |
|---|---|---|
| Reading skills and knowledge acquired during studies | 1-4 | 4 |
| Logical reasoning and problem-solving | 5-9 | 5 |
| Biology | 10-32 | 23 |
| Chemistry | 33-47 | 15 |
| Physics and Mathematics | 48-60 | 13 |
How the score works
A correct answer is worth +1.5, a wrong one −0.4 and a blank 0, for a maximum of 90. Guessing blindly among five options costs a little on average, while ruling out one option first makes the same guess worth it. To see what a given number of right and wrong answers is worth, use the IMAT score calculator.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this IMAT simulation really free?
- Yes. The whole simulation runs in your browser with no account and no payment: 60 questions, the 100-minute timer, your score and the explanation for every question.
- Are these real IMAT questions?
- They are original questions written by UniTest Pro, not copies of the official ones. Each of the 60 mirrors the question in the same position of the IMAT 2025: same section, same topic, same type of reasoning and the same level of difficulty. Taking the simulation is like sitting the IMAT 2025 again with new questions, in the same order, time limit and scoring.
- How is the IMAT simulation scored?
- Exactly like the real IMAT: +1.5 for a correct answer, −0.4 for a wrong one and 0 for a question left blank, for a maximum of 90 points. 20/90 is the eligibility threshold.
- Can I pause the simulation?
- The clock keeps running, as it does in the exam room. If you reload the page by mistake, your answers and the remaining time are restored on the same device.
- Can I take the IMAT simulation more than once?
- Yes, but it is the same 60 questions every time, so a second attempt measures memory more than preparation. For fresh questions in the same format, the UniTest Pro app has a full IMAT question bank and timed simulations.
- What score should I aim for?
- 20/90 only makes you eligible for the ranking. Admission depends on the ranking and the seats available, so aim well above the threshold and use the section breakdown to see where the points are being lost.
