Prepare for the CEnT-S, CISIA's English test for degree courses taught in English.

Frequently asked questions

What is the CEnT-S?

The CISIA English Test – Sciences is the admission test for degree courses taught in English in engineering, sciences, biology, pharmacy, economics, psychology and agriculture. It launched in November 2025 and replaced the English TOLC. On CISIA's list it is used by 19 Italian universities, including Politecnico di Milano, Sapienza, Padova, Pisa and the Statale di Milano.

How is the CEnT-S structured?

55 questions in 110 minutes, in five timed sections: Mathematics (15, 30 min), Reasoning on texts and data (15, 30 min), Biology (10, 20 min), Chemistry (10, 20 min), Physics (5, 10 min). Unused time in a section is lost and you cannot go back. This is the structure in CISIA's 2026 rules; CISIA's structure page already shows a 65-question version with a Reading section (10 questions, 30 min), expected with the 2026/27 rules: check the rules in force when you book.

How is it scored?

+1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one, 0 for a blank, with five options per question. CISIA then adjusts the raw score for the difficulty of the questions in your period. No calculator is allowed. Each university sets its own minimum score in its call for applications.

Is the app free?

Yes. The Free plan is free forever. Premium is €19/month, €39 every 3 months or €59 every 6 months, renewing automatically (App Store pricing on iPhone/iPad may differ); cancel anytime.
